Ground horse meat is a complementary food for dogs, composed of lean muscle, lung, and stomach trimmings, the latter included for its richness in enzymes and essential amino acids. It's a hypoallergenic solution with excellent tolerability, ideal for dogs with allergies or food intolerances.
The presence of a stomach is particularly valuable for dogs who, due to beef or lamb intolerances, cannot benefit from the properties of green tripe. How to use – advice from BARF Italia experts
Storage: keep the product in the freezer at –18°C.
Administration:
- Allow to defrost naturally at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
- Serve the raw ground horse meat after thawing.
Recommended daily amount:
- Adult dogs: 2–3% of body weight
- Puppies: approximately 5%, with variations based on activity and metabolism
After thawing, store the minced horse meat in the refrigerator and consume within 48 hours. Always supervise your dog during feeding.
